PCT/IB/308, FIRST NOTICE INFORMING THE APPLICANT OF THE COMMUNICATION OF THE INTERNATIONAL APPLICATION (TO DESIGNATED OFFICES WHICH DO NOT APPLY THE 30 MONTH TIME LIMIT UNDER ARTICLE 22(1)) (PCT Rule 47.1(c)). This notice is sent to the applicant (or their representative) to inform them that their international patent application has been transmitted to designated patent offices which do not follow the 30-month time limit specified under Article 22(1) of the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT). Article 22(1) of the PCT sets a deadline of 30 months from the priority date for the applicant to request examination of their patent application in each designated office. However, some designated offices may have different time limits, and this notice informs the applicant of such offices. This notice is the first communication sent by the International Bureau of WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization) to the applicant after the international application has been transmitted to the designated offices.
