Description

FORM 3.0 - APPOINTMENT OF APPRAISER. This form is used in the Probate Court of Stark County, Ohio, to designate a qualified appraiser for valuing assets in a decedent’s estate that do not have a readily ascertainable value. Under R.C. 2115.02 & 2115.06, when an estate includes property that cannot be easily valued using standard financial records or market prices, such as real estate, business interests, or unique collectibles, the fiduciary (executor or administrator) must appoint an appraiser. The fiduciary completes this form to either appoint a professional appraiser to determine the fair market value of these assets or, in the case of real estate, opt to use the County Auditor’s valuation. The fiduciary also certifies that the selected appraiser meets the qualifications required by local court rules and agrees to pay reasonable compensation for their services as part of the estate’s administrative expenses. Once the form is submitted, the court reviews the request and either approves the appointment or schedules a hearing to determine its appropriateness. www.FormsWorkflow.com
