Description

PCT/IPEA/402, NOTIFICATION OF RECEIPT OF DEMAND BY COMPETENT INTERNATIONAL PRELIMINARY EXAMINING AUTHORITY (PCT Rules 59.3(e) and 61.1(b), first sentence and Administrative Instructions, Section 601(a)). This form is a notification issued by the International Preliminary Examining Authority (IPEA) under PCT Rules 59.3(e) and 61.1(b) and Administrative Instructions, Section 601(a). This notification concerns the receipt of a demand for international preliminary examination (IPE) by a competent IPEA. Under the PCT, an applicant may file a demand for IPE with a competent IPEA within the prescribed time limit. The competent IPEA will then examine the international application and issue an international preliminary examination report (IPER) to the applicant. PCT/IPEA/402 is a notification that the competent IPEA has received the demand for IPE and has started the process of examining the international application. The notification confirms that the competent IPEA has received the necessary documents and fees for the IPE and has commenced the examination process. The notification may also provide additional information about the examination process, such as the estimated time for issuing the IPER and any requirements or deadlines for the applicant to respond to the IPEA's communications. www.FormsWorkflow.com
