Description

PCT/IPEA/404, INVITATION TO CORRECT DEFECTS IN THE DEMAND (PCT Rule 60.1). This form is form used in the international patent application process under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) and by the International Preliminary Examining Authority (IPEA) to request that the applicant correct any defects in the demand for international preliminary examination. Under PCT Rule 60.1, the demand for international preliminary examination must comply with certain formal requirements, including the payment of any required fees and the inclusion of certain information, such as the international application number, the name of the applicant, and the identity of the person or entity making the demand. If the IPEA identifies any defects in the demand, they will use the PCT/IPEA/404 form to communicate with the applicant. The communication will specify the defects and explain why they need to be corrected. The form will also provide a deadline by which the applicant must respond and correct the defects. The applicant may respond to this communication using the same form, providing the corrected demand and any additional information or explanations that may be necessary. It is important to note that failure to correct defects in the demand in a timely manner may result in the application being deemed withdrawn or considered abandoned. www.FormsWorkflow.com
