Description

PR-1840 - PETITION FOR SUMMARY ASSIGNMENT (FORMAL ADMINISTRATION) WITH/WITHOUT SPECIAL ADMINISTRATION. This form is used in Wisconsin probate court to settle a small estate valued at $50,000 or less. This form allows an interested party, such as an heir, beneficiary, or creditor, to request that the court assign the decedent’s property directly to those entitled to it without going through the full formal administration process. It requires the petitioner to provide key details about the decedent, including their date of birth, date of death, domicile, marital history, and whether they received public assistance benefits such as Medicaid or Family Care. The form also requires a detailed listing of the decedent’s property, debts, liens, and creditors, along with the names and contact information of all heirs, beneficiaries, and other interested parties. If necessary, the petitioner can request the appointment of a special administrator with limited powers to manage specific estate matters. By filing this petition, the petitioner asks the court to assign the property to the rightful heirs or beneficiaries, order the payment or transfer of any assets owed to the decedent, terminate any life estates or survivorship rights, and formally close the estate. §§711.03(10) and 867.02, Wisconsin Statutes. www.FormsWorkflow.com
