JD-HM-7 - NOTICE TO QUIT (END) POSSESSION. This is a Connecticut Superior Court housing form used by a landlord or property owner to formally notify a tenant or occupant that they must vacate the premises by a specified date. This notice is a required first step before filing an eviction (summary process) action under Connecticut General Statutes section 47a-23. The form identifies the parties, property address, deadline to vacate, and the legal reason(s) for ending possession. It must be signed by the owner, lessor, or authorized representative and served by a state marshal or proper officer, who completes the return of service section.
