IC14b - RESPONSE TO PETITION FOR IMMEDIATE HEARING UNDER SECTION 19(b-1) OF THE ACT. This form is used in Illinois workers’ compensation cases when an employer or their representative responds to an employee’s request for an expedited hearing. The law requires the employer to file this response within 15 days of receiving the petition. The form allows the employer to state whether they agree or disagree with the employee’s allegations about key facts, including the date, time, and location of the accident; the description and nature of the injury; whether notice of the accident was given; the refusal to pay benefits; medical treatment details; disability status; and any attempts to resolve the dispute.
