Description
Form K - ORDER APPROVING INITIAL GUARDIAN ADVOCACY PLAN OF THE PERSON. This form is used in the guardian advocacy process for individuals with developmental disabilities in Brevard County, Florida. This order is issued by the court after it has reviewed the initial Guardian Advocacy Plan filed by the Guardian Advocate. The form serves to officially approve the plan, which outlines the areas in which the Guardian Advocate will make decisions on behalf of the person with a developmental disability. The court ensures that the plan meets the needs of the individual and grants the Guardian Advocate authority only in the areas where the person has been found to lack decision-making capacity, in accordance with Florida’s Guardian Advocacy Law. The order discharges any attorney previously appointed by the court to represent the person with a developmental disability and review the initial plan. By signing the order, the Circuit Judge grants the Guardian Advocate the authority to act for the person with a developmental disability for the coming year, within the limits specified in the approved plan. www.FormsWorkflow.com
