PCT/ISA/206, INVITATION TO PAY ADDITIONAL FEES AND, WHERE APPLICABLE, PROTEST FEE (PCT Article 17(3)(a) and Rules 40.1 and 40.2(e)). This form is an invitation from the International Searching Authority (ISA) to the applicant to pay additional fees and, where applicable, a protest fee for an international patent application. The invitation is issued under PCT Article 17(3)(a) and Rules 40.1 and 40.2(e) of the PCT. This provision allows the ISA to invite the applicant to pay additional fees and protest fees where the amount of the initial filing fee is insufficient to cover the costs of the international search.
