36.220 Landlord and Tenant; Liability of Landlord during Rental; Possession (Partial) by Landlord If a landlord should retain a qualified possession of the rented premises and attends to the supervision of the building, collecting rents, and personally or by an agent makes repairs, the landlord will be liable for an injury resulting from a defective condition of the building if the landlord had actual notice of the defect, or in the exercise of ordinary and reasonable care, the landlord ought to have known it.
