Description

JV-276 - PERMISSION TO HAVE FIREARM OR AMMUNITION FOR WORK. This form is used in juvenile court cases involving restraining orders. This form allows the court to authorize a restrained person to possess a specific firearm or ammunition solely for employment-related purposes, when required as a condition of continued work. The court must make detailed findings, including that the individual is not otherwise prohibited under state or federal law and does not pose an added safety risk. The order distinguishes between sworn peace officers and non–peace officers and limits possession to defined work hours or duty status. JV-276 is typically attached to forms JV-255 or JV-265 and is effective as a court order. Judicial Council of California, Mandatory FormFam. Code, § 6389; Welf. & Inst. Code, §§ 213.5, 213.7, 304, 362.4, 726.5; Cal. Rules of Court, rules 5.620, 5.625, 5.630. www.FormsWorkflow.com
