CR-850 - PERMISSION TO HAVE FIREARM OR AMMUNITION FOR WORK (CRIMINAL PROTECTIVE ORDER). This form used when a restrained person seeks court authorization to possess a specific firearm, firearm parts, or ammunition required for their employment. The court must determine that the individual cannot be reassigned, is not otherwise prohibited from possessing firearms, and does not pose an added risk to protected persons or the public. The form includes additional findings for sworn peace officers, including psychological evaluation requirements. It also identifies when and under what conditions the restrained person may possess listed items, such as only during scheduled work hours or while on or off duty.
