Form MC 284 - BINDING ARBITRATION AWARD. This form is used in Michigan courts to record and finalize the decision made by an arbitrator in a case that has been submitted to binding arbitration. This form applies to disputes that may arise from contracts, employment, commercial matters, personal injury claims, or other issues where the parties have agreed—by contract, stipulation, or court referral—to resolve their case through arbitration rather than trial. It documents the arbitrator’s findings, conclusions of law, damages awarded, costs, attorney fees, interest, and any other conditions of the judgment. Once entered, the award carries the same effect as a court judgment and will become final unless a party files a motion to vacate, modify, or correct the award within 21 days.
