LASC JUV 037 - JUDICIAL OFFICER – DECLARATION IN SUPPORT OF ACCESS TO JUVENILE COURT RECORDS. This form is used by judicial officers in the Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles, to request access to unredacted juvenile court records in accordance with Welfare and Institutions Code section 827, California Rules of Court rule 5.552, and Los Angeles Superior Court Local Rule 7.2. This form is specifically for judges who are actively presiding over either a related adult criminal case in which the minor is involved or a family law case that includes custody or visitation issues involving the minor. The judicial officer must provide identifying information, including the relevant criminal, juvenile, or family law case numbers, and indicate whether they are seeking dependency or juvenile justice records. The form includes a mandatory advisement that unredacted juvenile records accessed through this process cannot be shared with parties in the related proceedings. Any party seeking their own access must independently file a Declaration in Support of Access to Juvenile Records (form JUV 010) to request redacted copies or a Petition for Access to Juvenile Case File (form JV-570) for broader use.
