Description

DC 6:15.7 - ANSWER AND COUNTERCLAIM TO COMPLAINT FOR MODIFICATION (CHILD SUPPORT). This form is used in Nebraska District Court when a party in a child support case wishes to formally respond to the other party’s request to modify a child support order. The form allows the respondent—whether the original plaintiff or defendant—to admit or deny specific statements made in the Complaint for Modification. Additionally, the respondent may file a counterclaim requesting their own changes to the child support order. The form requires the respondent to provide details about the existing child support order, including the date it was issued, who was ordered to pay, the number of children involved, and the amounts of support ordered. The respondent must explain the material change in circumstances that has occurred since the last order—such as a substantial change in income—and confirm that the change has lasted at least three months and is expected to continue for six more. If these conditions are met, the respondent may request the court to increase or decrease the child support obligation in accordance with the Nebraska Child Support Guidelines. The form must be signed, dated, and include the respondent’s contact information. It also contains a Certificate of Service section to show that a copy was mailed to the other party, as required by court rules. www.FormsWorkflow.com
