Description

DECREE FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF SUCCESSOR ADMINISTRATORS DBN. This is a New York Surrogate’s Court form used when a prior administrator of an estate has died, resigned, or become unable to continue serving. “DBN” stands for de bonis non, meaning “of goods not yet administered.” This decree authorizes the appointment of new administrators to manage and distribute any remaining estate assets. The court issues the decree after confirming proper jurisdiction, notice to all required parties, and proof supporting the petition for replacement. It also revokes any previously issued Letters of Administration and typically dispenses with the bond requirement. The decree is entered and signed by the Surrogate of the County overseeing the estate proceedings. www.FormsWorkflow.com
