Order Authorizing Substituted Service And Appointing Guardian Ad Litem

ORDER AUTHORIZING SUBSTITUTED SERVICE AND APPOINTING A GUARDIAN-AD-LITEM. This form is used in foreclosure proceedings when the plaintiff is unable to personally serve the defendant with the summons and complaint due to the defendant's whereabouts being unknown, despite diligent efforts. This court order allows the plaintiff to use alternative methods of service, such as mailing documents to the defendant's last known addresses and publishing a notice in designated newspapers. The order also appoints a Guardian-Ad-Litem and Military Attorney to represent the interests of the absent defendant, who may be deceased, incapacitated, in military service, or otherwise unable to defend themselves.
