JD-CV-39 - APPLICATION FOR REFERRAL OF CASE TO THE COMPLEX LITIGATION DOCKET (CLD). This Connecticut Superior Court form is used by attorneys or self-represented parties to request that a civil case be transferred to the Complex Litigation Docket (CLD). The CLD is designed for cases involving complex legal or factual issues, such as class actions, antitrust matters, or multi-party disputes. The form requires detailed case information, including parties and counsel, case type, litigation status, and reasons supporting referral. Filers must also provide trial readiness details, estimated trial length, and preferred CLD location (Hartford, Stamford, or Waterbury). This application must be accompanied by the appropriate fee (see General Statutes § 52-259). Any objection to the transfer of this case to the CLD must be filed within 15 calendar days after the filing of this application. Attorneys not excluded from e-filing must select "Objection to Transfer to Complex Litigation" when naming the objection in e-filing.
