CR-840 - PROHIBITED ITEMS FINDING AND ORDERS (CRIMINAL PROTECTIVE ORDER). This form is used by the court to document findings that a restrained person subject to a criminal protective order under Penal Code section 136.2 possesses prohibited items such as firearms, firearm parts, or ammunition. The form allows the court to list each item, record any proof of compliance submitted, and schedule a compliance hearing requiring the restrained person to show that all items have been surrendered, sold, or stored. If the court finds noncompliance, CR-840 includes sections for immediate notification to law enforcement and the prosecuting agency.
