GARNISHEE ANSWER ON FINANCIAL INSTITUTION. This form is used by a financial institution (the Garnishee) in response to a court-issued garnishment order in Gwinnett County, Georgia. This form allows the institution to report whether it holds any money or property belonging to the Defendant (the debtor) and, if so, how much is available for garnishment. If the Defendant does not have an account with the institution, the garnishee can indicate that on the form. The garnishee must also submit payment (if applicable) to the court and certify that copies of the response have been sent to both the Plaintiff (the creditor) and the Defendant or their attorneys.
