APPLICATION FOR REGISTRATION OF CORPORATE NAME. This is a form issued by the State of Utah, Department of Commerce, Division of Corporations & Commercial Code that allows a foreign corporation—one incorporated outside Utah—to register its corporate name for use in the state. This registration does not authorize the business to conduct operations in Utah but rather reserves the corporate name through December 31st of the current year, in accordance with Utah Code § 16-10a-1507. The form must be typed (not handwritten) and submitted with a non-refundable $22 fee for either a new filing or a renewal.
