The minor child has been, or will be, placed for adoption, or is the subject of a pending adoption request. If you wish to establish that you are the natural father of the minor child you must file a legal action/case with the court to establish your paternity within 30 days of the date of service of this notice on you or within 30 days after the birth of the child, whichever date is later. (California Family Code section 7631.) If you do not file a legal action to establish you are the birth or natural father of the child within the required time then you will not receive any further notice concerning the adoption of the child, you will have no right to object to the adoption, and the child may be adopted.
