Please note that you are not named as a Respondent in this petition. However, because you may be a possible resource to care for the child named in this petition, you are entitled to notice of the pendency of this petition. You are also entitled to notice of certain rights and information, as follows: 1. You have a right to be heard in proceedings regarding the placement, custody or guardianship of the child. You have a right to appear in the Family Court and to seek to provide care, custody or guardianship for the child. You may seek to be approved as a foster parent in order for the child to reside with you temporarily while the petition is pending in court.
