Description
JA-6 - ACCOUNTING CITATION. This form is issued by the New York Surrogate’s Court to interested parties in an estate proceeding, directing them to appear and show cause why a fiduciary’s account of an estate or trust should not be judicially settled. The citation identifies the petitioner who filed the account, provides the court location, date and time of the hearing, and specifies that a summary of the account accompanies the citation. It is signed and sealed by the Surrogate or Chief Clerk and includes the attorney’s contact information. Recipients are informed that they are not required to appear, but failure to do so will be taken as consent to the requested relief. The citation also advises that any party may retain an attorney and request a copy of the full account from the petitioner or their counsel. www.FormsWorkflow.com
