Description

AOC-SP-203 - INVOLUNTARY COMMITMENT ORDER - MENTAL ILLNESS. This is a North Carolina court form used by a district court judge to determine whether an individual should be involuntarily committed for mental health treatment. Based on evidence presented at a hearing, the court makes findings regarding the respondent’s mental illness, level of danger to self or others, and need for treatment. The order may require inpatient commitment, outpatient treatment, a combination of both, or dismissal of the case. It also documents representation, examiner reports, and legal conclusions. Once issued, the order directs appropriate agencies or facilities to carry out the court’s decision. G.S. 122C-267, -268, -271, -276. www.FormsWorkflow.com
