LF-UD-101 - ORDER FOR SERVICE OF SUMMONS AND COMPLAINT BY POSTING AND MAILING - UNLAWFUL DETAINER (C.C.P. Section 415.45). This form is used in eviction cases when the defendant cannot be served through the usual methods despite reasonable efforts. If the court is satisfied that personal or substitute service is not possible, it grants permission for an alternative process. The order allows the plaintiff to post the summons and complaint on the property in a location most likely to notify the defendant and to also send a copy by certified mail to the defendant’s last known address.
