FICTITIOUS BUSINESS NAME STATEMENT. If this is the first time filing this fictitious business name statement, it must be published in a newspaper in the same county within 45 days. The statement must be published once a week for four uninterrupted weeks and proof of publication must be filed with the county clerk within 30 days after the last week. If this is a renewal of this fictitious business name statement and there are changes since the last statement was filed or more than 40 days have gone by since the ending date of the last statement, then the statement must be published. If this is a renewal of this fictitious business name statement and there are no changes since the last filing and you are filing within 40 days of the ending date of the last statement, then the statement does not have to published.
