Description
CL17 - PLEA IN ABSENTIA. This form is used in the Superior Court of California, County of Nevada, to allow a defendant to formally enter a plea in a criminal case without being physically present in court. It must be submitted along with a waiver form and includes certifications from both the defendant and their attorney. By completing this form, the defendant acknowledges understanding of the charges and authorizes their attorney to appear on their behalf, enter a plea (such as guilty or no contest), and receive sentencing in their absence. The defendant expressly waives several rights, including the right to personally enter the plea, the right to be present for sentencing, the right to delay sentencing, and the right to address the court in mitigation. The attorney confirms that they have explained all matters to the defendant and that the plea is knowingly and voluntarily made. Mandatory Form. www.FormsWorkflow.com
