Description
ORDER APPOINTING GUARDIAN AD LITEM. This form is used by the Circuit Court of Kendall County, Illinois, to appoint a Guardian ad Litem (GAL) in family law cases involving disputes over parenting time, allocation of parental responsibilities, or child relocation. The order is issued when the court finds that it is in the best interests of the child(ren) to have a neutral legal representative conduct an investigation and provide recommendations to assist the court in resolving issues affecting the welfare of the child(ren). The form outlines the responsibilities and authority granted to the GAL, including access to the child(ren), the ability to receive documents and participate in proceedings, and the obligation of the parties to cooperate. It also establishes how the GAL’s fees will be paid and specifies whether the investigation will cover specific issues such as parental responsibilities, parenting time, or relocation. The appointment remains in effect until the court enters an order terminating it or until 30 days after a final judgment is entered. The form also includes an impounded GAL Information Sheet containing contact details for the parties and information about the children involved. www.FormsWorkflow.com
