Description

AFFIDAVIT FOR COMMITTEE: ELECTRONIC FILING EXEMPTION. This form is used by political committees in Texas to claim an exemption from the requirement to file campaign finance reports electronically. Beginning January 1, 2025, committees that have either accepted more than $33,910 in political contributions or made more than $33,910 in political expenditures in a calendar year must file reports electronically. However, this affidavit allows a committee to report on paper if it meets specific conditions: it has not exceeded the $33,910 threshold, and neither the committee nor anyone acting on its behalf uses computer equipment to maintain current records of contributions, expenditures, or donor information. The campaign treasurer must swear or affirm these statements and file the affidavit with each campaign finance report for which the exemption is claimed. The form may be completed either with a notarized affidavit or as an unsworn declaration under penalty of perjury. Even if exempt from e-filing, the committee must still submit timely paper reports. www.FormsWorkflow.com
