Description
REGISTRATION/RENEWAL OF ATTORNEY SPECIALTY. This form is used by attorneys in Nevada to register or renew their recognition of a legal specialty in accordance with Rule of Professional Conduct (RPC) 7.4(d)(3)(i). It allows an attorney to formally notify the State Bar of Nevada that they have been certified as a specialist in a particular area of law by an organization approved by the ABA or the Nevada Board of Governors. The form requires submission of proof of certification, confirmation of the certification's validity period, and details about the certifying organization. Attorneys must also attest that they have dedicated at least one-third of their practice to the specialty over the past two years and completed a minimum of ten hours of continuing legal education in that specialty during the previous calendar year. If an attorney is registering multiple specialties, a separate copy of the form (excluding the fee section) must be submitted for each. Proof of professional liability insurance coverage of at least $500,000 is required unless the attorney practices exclusively in public law, in which case they may claim an exemption. www.FormsWorkflow.com
