Description
MED-205 - ORDER OF REFERRAL TO MEDIATION - CINA. This form is used in Alaska's Superior Court for cases involving a Child in Need of Aid (CINA). This form orders the involved parties, such as parents, attorneys, guardians, and representatives from the Office of Children’s Services (OCS), to participate in mediation to address disputes related to the case. The court determines whether mediation is appropriate, and if so, assigns a mediator through the Dispute Resolution Coordinator. The mediation sessions, which are typically about three hours long, aim to help the parties reach agreements on issues such as custody, parental rights, placement, and services for the child. The order outlines that mediation is voluntary, but participants must attend the initial meeting and the first joint session. The mediator has access to confidential case information and cannot testify in court about anything said during mediation, except to report any agreements reached. Additionally, the order specifies whether attorneys may attend, sets a mediation schedule, and includes confidentiality requirements. If the mediation is conducted remotely, participants must ensure privacy. Civil Rule 100. www.FormsWorkFlow.com
