PCT/SISA/510, INVITATION TO PAY FOR REQUESTED COPIES OF CITED DOCUMENTS (PCT Rules 44.3(b) and 45bis.7(c)). This is the standard form used in the PCT process to invite applicants to pay for copies of relevant prior art documents cited in the international search report. PCT Rules 44.3(b) and 45bis.7(c) are provisions under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) that govern the citation of prior art documents in international patent applications. Rule 44.3(b) states that the International Searching Authority (ISA) must include citations to relevant prior art documents in the international search report. The ISA is required to identify the documents that are relevant to the invention claimed in the international application and that have been found in the course of the search. The ISA may also include citations to documents that have been submitted by the applicant or that are known to the ISA. Rule 45bis.7(c) governs the procedure for requesting copies of cited documents. If the ISA has not provided copies of cited documents as part of the search report or if the ISA does not have copies of the documents, the applicant may request copies by paying a fee.
