FORM LOB 1 - LOBBYING FIRM REGISTRATION STATEMENT. This is a Los Angeles County form required under Chapter 2.160 of the Los Angeles County Code for businesses or sole proprietors that qualify as lobbying firms. This form is used to register a lobbying firm or individual contract lobbyist (sole proprietor) within 10 days of qualifying. It requires disclosure of firm information, responsible and alternate responsible officers, individual lobbyists (with accompanying Form LOB 4 and photo), and all lobbying clients (with Form LOB 2 authorization). A $450 registration fee per qualifying lobbyist applies (reduced to $337 if filed October–December). Firms must renew annually and file quarterly activity reports. The form also includes mandatory gift and campaign contribution prohibitions and must be verified under penalty of perjury. This form is not used to register lobbyists or lobbyist employers.
