This form is used in the Magistrate’s Court of Richland County when a plaintiff seeks to regain possession of personal property that is being wrongfully withheld by another party. By completing this document, the plaintiff affirms under oath that they are the rightful owner of, or otherwise entitled to, the property in question, provides a detailed description of each item, and states the reasons why the defendant is unlawfully keeping it. The form also requires the plaintiff to declare the property’s value and confirm that it has not been seized legally for taxes, fines, or other lawful assessments.
