The request ensures that the chosen business name is available for exclusive use for 30 days. A non-refundable $35 fee ($25 filing + $10 service charge) applies to cover the name search and processing. Applicants may submit the form by mail or complete the process online via https://ecorp.sos.ga.gov/ using a credit card. If the requested name is unavailable, applicants will receive a rejection notice and may submit a new name within 10 days at no extra charge.
