Description
518 - CERTIFICATE OF CORRECTION. This form is used in Michigan by corporations and limited liability companies (LLCs) to correct errors or inaccuracies in documents that were previously filed with the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs. This form is used when a filing did not accurately reflect the corporation’s or LLC’s intended action at the time, or if it was defectively or erroneously executed. The certificate requires identification of the document being corrected, a description of the inaccuracy or defect, and the corrected information as it should have originally appeared. Once filed, the correction is generally effective retroactively to the original filing date, except where someone relied on the inaccurate information and was adversely affected. The document must be signed in the same manner as the original filing and ensures that the public record accurately reflects the corporation’s or LLC’s legal status and governing documents. www.FormsWorkflow.com
