Description

ATJ 9020.5 - CERTIFICATION FOR EXEMPTION FROM E-FILING. This is an official Illinois Supreme Court–approved document used to request a good-cause exemption from electronic filing under Illinois Supreme Court Rule 9(d)(2) in cases before the state’s highest court. It allows petitioners or respondents to certify that they cannot e-file due to lack of internet, email, or payment access, language barriers, or technical limitations. Individuals who are incarcerated, filing in juvenile matters, or unable to e-file due to a disability are automatically exempt. The form must be submitted in person or by mail to the Clerk of the Supreme Court (200 E. Capitol Ave., Springfield, IL 62701). For certain filings—such as petitions for leave to appeal, briefs, or petitions for rehearing—13 legible paper copies must accompany this certification. www.FormsWorkflow.com
