Description

TREC NO. 60-0 - ADDENDUM FOR SECTION 1031 EXCHANGE. This form promulgated by the Texas Real Estate Commission, is used when either the buyer or the seller intends to complete a real estate transaction as part of a like-kind exchange under Section 1031 of the Internal Revenue Code. This tax-deferred exchange allows the party to defer paying capital gains taxes on the sale of investment or business property if the proceeds are reinvested in a similar property. The addendum states that the parties to the contract agree to reasonably cooperate in facilitating the 1031 exchange, provided that the non-exchanging party does not incur any additional costs, liability, or delay in the closing as a result. www.FormsWorkflow.com
