CCTR 0003 - TRANSFER ORDER. This form is used in the Traffic Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois to reassign a traffic case when a Motion for Substitution of Judge has been filed under 725 ILCS 5/114-5(a). This statute allows a defendant to request a different judge if the motion is timely filed and meets legal requirements. Once granted, the case is transferred to the Presiding Judge of the Traffic Division, who then reassigns it to a different courtroom instantly ("instanter").
