This form is used to explain the procedures courts must follow to provisionally qualify or temporarily use a noncertified or nonregistered spoken language interpreter. The court is required to appoint a certified or registered interpreter. If a certified or registered interpreter is not available, the court may appoint a noncertified or nonregistered interpreter on a provisional or temporary basis, according to the instructions provided in this information sheet.
