Description

MSSB-OEAS - ORDER EXTENDING AUTOMATIC STAY. This form is used in bankruptcy cases to extend the automatic stay, which temporarily halts collection efforts by creditors against the debtor. Under 11 U.S.C. § 362, the automatic stay typically applies immediately upon filing a bankruptcy case, but if the debtor has filed a previous bankruptcy case within a certain period, the stay may expire after 30 days unless extended by court order. This order is issued after the debtor files a Motion for Extension of Automatic Stay and no objections are raised by creditors or other interested parties. The court, upon finding just cause, grants the motion and extends the stay to protect the debtor from creditor actions while the bankruptcy case proceeds. www.FormsWorkflow.com
