56.121 Railroad Crossings; Obedience to Signal Indicating Approach of a Train When a signal of an approaching train is clearly visible or a crossing gate is lowered or an approaching train is dangerously close, an approaching motorist shall stop between fifteen and fifty feet from the nearest rail, and the motorist shall not drive through a crossing barrier while it is opening or closing.
