Description

AO 120 (Rev. 08/10), REPORT ON THE FILING OR DETERMINATION OF AN ACTION REGARDING A PATENT OR TRADEMARK. This form is used by the United States District Courts to comply with the reporting requirements of 35 U.S.C. § 290 and/or 15 U.S.C. § 1116, which requires the filing of an AO 120 form to report on the filing or determination of an action regarding a patent or trademark. When a patent or trademark case is filed with a United States District Court, the clerk of court is required to complete an AO 120 form and submit it to the Director of the Administrative Office of the United States Courts within 10 days of the filing of the complaint. The form requires information about the case, including the names of the parties, the case number, the nature of the case, and whether it involves a patent or trademark. If the case is resolved through a judgment or settlement, the court is required to complete a final AO 120 form and submit it to the Director of the Administrative Office of the United States Courts within 30 days of the final resolution of the case. The information collected on the AO 120 form is used by the Director of the Administrative Office of the United States Courts to compile statistical data about patent and trademark cases filed in the district courts. www.FormsWorkflow.com
