Why does the following message appears when Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 is downloaded or when I install the Forms WorkFlow Ribbon or Toolbar in a Windows 7 environment?
Program Compatibility Assistant - This program has known compatibility issues Check online to see if solutions are available from the Microsoft website. If solutions are found, Windows will automatically display a website that lists steps you can take. Program: Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Publisher: Microsoft Location: Not Available This software has know incompatibility with IIS services on this platform. |

Windows 7 (64-bit) Issue: This message will appear during installation of the Forms Workflow and installation of Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 in a Windows 7 (64-bit) platform. Our product currently requires Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1. Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 is not included with Windows 7 (64-bit). The Workaround 1. When installing .Net 1.1 (see the link below), select Run program when the Program Compatibility Assistant message appears then follow the prompts. .Net 1.1 http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=262D25E3-F589-4842-8157-034D1E7CF3A3&displaylang=en 2. Go to the link below to download/run .Net 1.1 Service Pack 1. Select Run Program when the Program Compatibility Assistant message appears then follow the prompts. Microsoft Word Security is set to Very High. -Go to the Tools menu | Options | Security tab. -Select the Macro Security button. -On the Security Level tab, select High (or lower) then select OK. -Select OK in the Options window. |
