We encourage you to notify us of a request for change of CCRC as early as possible. We are committed to responding to your request in a prompt and thorough manner, and are interested in helping you make the best decisions in meeting the needs and interests of your children. Please note the following guidelines for filing a formal request for change of CCRC: Fresno Superior Court Local Rule 5.5..11(D)(1), Request for Change of Child Custody Recommending Counselor, states that a request for change of CCRC must: x Be made no later than fifteen (15) calendar days from the date the court orders the family assessment and/or custody investigation (the court date when the parties are referred to a Child Custody Recommending Counseling session ­ formally identified as "mediation")" x Be typewritten or printed neatly and shall set out the specific reasons the change is requested o per Fresno Superior Court Local Rule 5.5.11(C)(2), a change of CCRC may be granted by FCS in the following situations: when a conflict of interest exists where there is a substantial doubt as to the impartiality of the CCRC x Be mailed to Family Court Services AND a copy shall be provided to the opposing party (faxed requests will not be accepted). FCS may require proof of service that a copy of the request was provided to the opposing party before proceeding with the request. Attached is a set of questions that will help us better understand the nature of your request for a new CCRC. Please complete the form and return it to the Family Court Services office or mail it to the above address. Your request form will be reviewed and you will be hearing from someone in the office either in writing or by telephone once your request has been reviewed and evaluated. Only a judge can change the court order. If you are concerned about the custody or visitation orders that were made by a judge, please contact your attorney, the Family Law Clerk's Office, and/or the Self-Help Center to receive assistance in this area. 2.
