The vehicle is not qualified as an "historic vehicle," under N.J.S.A. 39:3-27.3 et seq., or a "street rod" under N.J.S.A. 39:3-27.27; 2. The vehicle is not driven more than 3,000 miles per year; and 3. The vehicle is insured as a limited use "collector vehicle." (Proof must be supplied at time of odometer verification.) The Commission shall verify the odometer reading of a "collector vehicle" and may require that the vehicle be equipped with an odometer lock. A special decal, valid for two years, will be issued indicating that the vehicle is exempt from safety and emission inspection. Initial decal is $25 and $10 per renewal. All "collector vehicles" must be taken to a state inspection station for odometer and insurance verification. Please visit the manager's office.
