SUPERIOR COURT OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON FOR WHATCOM COUNTY IN RE THE CUSTODY OF: No. WRIT OF HABEAS CORPUS Petitioner/Plaintiff vs. Respondent/Defendant The State of Washington To: And To: And To: The Sheriff of Whatcom County Any peace officer in the State of Washington Department of Social and Health Services THE SHERIFF AND ANY PEACE OFFICER ARE HEREBY COMMANDED to secure custody of the body/bodies of _________________________________, wherever he/she/they may be detained and bring him/her/them before the Whatcom County Superior Court. In the event the Superior Court is not in session at the time such child/children is/are taken into custody, you shall place the child/children in the care, custody and control of the Department of Social and Health Services until such time as this matter may be heard on the next day on which the Superior Court is in session. THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES IS HEREBY COMMANDED to take custody of the child/children from law enforcement and place the child/children into protective custody until such time as this matter may be heard by the Superior Court. The Department of Social and Health Services shall only release the child/children to the County Sheriff or any other peace officer of the State of Washington acting pursuant to this Writ or, upon a further Order of this Court, to a person specifically authorized to receive the care, custody and control of the child/children. THE SHERIFF AND ANY PEACE OFFICER ARE FURTHER ORDERED to break and enter any outer or inner door or other opening of any building, structure, vehicle, or other enclosure in which you have reason to believe the child/children is/are located or where information pertaining to the location of the child/children may be found, and as necessary to secure the body of the child/children and bring him/her/them before the Superior Court.
