Dismissal of the conviction does not permit the defendant to own, possess, or have in his/her custody or control a firearm if prevented by Penal Code section 12021 or 1201.1. Dismissal of the conviction does not permit a person prohibited from holding public office as a result of that conviction to hold public office. Dismissal of the conviction does not relieve the defendant from any obligation to register under Penal Code section 290.
