NOTICE REGARDING ORAL ARGUMENTS IN THE COURT OF APPEALS Cases may be scheduled as soon as one responsive brief is filed. Minn. App. Spec. R. Pract. 1. Oral hearings are now scheduled 30-210 days from the filing of the first responsive brief. Counsel must advise the court, in writing, of potential scheduling conflicts before the case is scheduled. Id. Counsel may give notice of scheduling conflicts (a) by letter when filing their briefs, (b) by separate letter received by the court before the first responsive brief was filed, or (c) by completing this form and returning it before the case is scheduled. Counsel have a continuing duty to update notices of potential conflicts until an appeal has been scheduled. If counsel fail to notify the court of potential scheduling conflicts before a case is set for argument, postponement will be granted only for extreme emergency.
